La Trappe Jubilaris

I bought this bottle of La Trappe Jubilaris (6%) from a small bottle shop in Bruges during a visit back in December 14. Today seemed a good day to open it.

Here is the history of this beer…

This beer poured highly carbonated, which does down quickly. The colour settles a lovely dark ruby red.

The aroma is a fantastic fruity sweetness. Tasting this beer, the smoothness is amazing. The lovely caramel and dark fruit flavours coming through make this a nice well rounded drink. The body is a little lacking, but it’s so drinkable you hardly notice.

The brewery state on the bottle that they want you to “Enjoy this unique Trappist ale” – and enjoy it I did.

Score: 4.5
